DialFocus Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-27
DialFocus is a focus timer app for students and general users. The app is designed to work offline first.
Data We Store
- Focus sessions: task name, planned time, actual focus time, start time, end time, completion state, and local user ID.
- App settings: timer presets, notification preferences, widget display labels, and selected app mode.
- Optional social data: nickname, friend code, class code, weekly focus summary, session count, and streak count when social sync is enabled.
Data We Avoid
DialFocus does not require public chat, phone contacts upload, precise location, nationwide public rankings, or direct personal contact details for the core timer experience.
Offline-First Behavior
The timer, task input, local records, statistics, and basic widgets should work without internet. If cloud sync is enabled later, local records remain on the device first and sync when a connection is available.
Students And Safety
Friend and class features are designed around nicknames, friend codes, class codes, and preset encouragement reactions. Free-form public chat is not part of the planned student-safe v1 experience.
Advertising And Store Disclosure
DialFocus may show ads through Google AdMob. Ad providers may process device identifiers, approximate location, app activity, diagnostics, and advertising data according to their own policies and Google Play requirements. Ads shown to younger or mixed audiences must use policy-compliant settings.
Analytics And Diagnostics
DialFocus may use Firebase services for app diagnostics, crash reporting, analytics, anonymous authentication, and optional sync features. These services can process technical data such as app version, device information, crash logs, diagnostics, and usage events to improve reliability and product quality.
Data Sharing
DialFocus does not sell personal information. Data may be processed by service providers such as Google Firebase and Google AdMob for app operation, analytics, diagnostics, advertising, security, and compliance.
Data Deletion
You can delete local app data by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage on your device. If cloud sync is enabled for your account later, you may request deletion by contacting support.
